ATC Healthcare is hiring for the positions of Program Usher and Registration Coordinator at the Times Square vaccination site. The pay rate will be approximately $20 to $25/hour (on a W2).  ATC Healthcare offers benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, which are available without a waiting period. Shifts will be 12 hours each with some flexibility.  The anticipated duration of this assignment is three months, but candidates may give two weeks’ notice prior to any departure.

In an effort to support theatrical workers impacted by COVID-19, ATC Healthcare has set aside positions for workers from the NYC theatrical community for non-medical staffing positions, offering hourly pay and flexible scheduling as well as access to a personal vaccination appointment.

Start Date: Friday, April 9, 2021 (subject to change dependent on site construction).
Location: 20 Times Square (the former NFL Experience Building), Manhattan
Hours of Operation: 7 AM to 7:30 PM; seven days a week.

Job Descriptions

Program Usher

  • Greet individuals and assist them through the various stations of the COVID Vaccination site
  • Ensure a safe environment by maintaining clear aisles and enforcing social distancing regulations on lines or while waiting for registration or vaccination 
  • Help individuals maneuver from registration through vaccination and observation
  • Reporting suspicious behavior to site manager
  • If assigned to the Observation Room, the Flow Monitor may also need to assist individuals post vaccination to schedule an appointment for a second shot 
  • Provide special assistance to guests with needs such as individuals with wheelchairs or other disabilities
  • Collect disregarded or forgotten items after the event and store in lost and found and or discard as appropriate 

Qualifications for Program Usher

  • 1 year of experience working in a customer service-based industry
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
  • Interest in entertainment or the performing arts is preferred
  • Personal organization and accountability are required to ensure a positive experience for visitors
  • Knowledgeable about the site and the appropriate traffic flow
  • Ability to use an iPad and to navigate a simple registration program
  • Able to work various shifts, weekends, possibly holidays and late nights
  • Reliability and promptness in arriving for scheduled shifts

Registration Coordinator

  • Greet individuals and assist them through the registration process
  • Confirm individual’s identity, confirm appointment
  • Reviewing COVID screening questions and protocols
  • If individual is not qualified for testing appointment (i.e.:  has a fever, is not feeling well, has been exposed to someone who is COVID positive), informing them and assisting them in rescheduling an alternate appointment  
  • Provide special assistance to individuals with needs such as individuals with wheelchairs or other disabilities
  • Reporting registration issues or suspicious behavior to site manager

Qualifications for Registration Coordinators

  • 1 year of experience working in a customer service-based industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to use an iPad to navigate a simple registration program
  • Personal organization and accountability to ensure a positive experience for visitors
  • Knowledgeable about the site and the appropriate traffic flow
  • Able to work various shifts, weekends, possibly holidays and late nights
  • Reliability and promptness in arriving for scheduled shifts
