I joined Local 802 when I was invited to perform with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. My musical goal in New York City is to establish a performing and teaching residency for my string quartet, the Harlem Quartet. My most favorite recent gig was touring Japan with Chick Corea. My group was fortunate enough to get to play Chick’s string quartet for him, which jump-started a wonderful musical relationship. Together with Chick, we recorded his Grammy-winning tune “Mozart Goes Dancing,” and from that recording project we built an incredibly fun tour. My principal instrument is violin.
