I joined Local 802 to make connections, to network with other musicians in the area, and to take advantage of the resources the union has to offer. My musical goal is to music direct a Broadway musical or work in the recording industry. My most favorite recent gig is music directing and conducting “Les Misérables” at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, New Jersey. My biggest musical hurdle recently is, and continues to be, discovering what styles and kinds of music appeal to me as both listener and performer; it’s an ever changing and evolving process. My principal instrument is piano and I also compose.
