Applications are now open for the Waldo Mayo Violin Concerto Competition. The winner receives $1,000 and the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall with the Local 802 Senior Concert Orchestra. Applicants must guarantee that they are available to perform the concert on September 29, 2024 and also rehearse on September 26 and September 27. To audition, prepare an entire concerto of your choice from the standard repertoire for violin. The audition/competition will take place on Friday, June 7.
