Local 802 member David Eaton, conductor of the New York City Symphony (above), performed at the United Nations this summer under a union contract as part of the U.N.’s 70th anniversary under the theme of “The Transformative Power of Music.” Allegro photographer Walter Karling was granted access to the dress rehearsal. Artists from five continents were featured, several of whom performed with the symphony, including Japanese soprano Seiko Lee and Italian tenor Angelo Mazzone (below).
