Broadway legend Maurice Hines taps us through his incredible career in show business in “Tappin’ Thru Life,” a song and dance celebration. Hines pays tribute to his brother Gregory as well as the performers who inspired him – from Frank Sinatra to Lena Horne. Backed by the DIVA Jazz Orchestra, the show is currently playing at the New World Stages. Musicians are covered under a Local 802 union contract.
“The DIVA Jazz Orchestra is honored to be working with show business legend Maurice Hines,” music director and Local 802 member Sherrie Maricle told Allegro. “Mr. Hines is one-of-a-kind and it’s a thrill to swing the roof off the New World Stage with him eight times a week!”
