A recent free concert of Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Hunter College helped young people discover the creative ways that composers interpret nature through music. In a concert co-sponsored by the Music Performance Trust Fund, the orchestra presented Haydn’s Symphony No. 6 (“The Morning”) while young students from BRIC Arts Media created an interactive animation project to complement this glorious work. *Musicians were covered under a Local 802 union contract.
Orchestra of St. Luke’s is one of America’s most versatile and distinguished orchestras, collaborating with the world’s greatest artists and performing approximately 80 concerts each year. See www.oslmusic.org. Photos on these pages by Walter Karling.
