The personalized ear sets typically can cost up to $150 or more. They allow for clear sound at a lower volume, without too much attenuation, and they are available in several styles in both silicone or vinyl materials.

The custom sets are still available free to all musicians who qualify for Plan A or Plan B coverage from the Local 802 Health Benefits Plan. When members take advantage of this benefit, Radio Partner has been charging the Plan $99. After 802 made the case that members who do not qualify for the plan are often those who need the discount the most, the company agreed to extend the $99 discounted cost to all 802 members.
