Orchestra of St. Luke’s is helping to sustain the next generation of live music lovers. Photographer Walter Karling captured the orchestra rehearsing at The DiMenna Center for the recent Link Up concerts presented by Carnegie Hall’s education program. Over a four-day period, approximately 16,000 students and teachers from the New York City area attended and participated in the hour-long performances featuring Orchestra of St. Luke’s, a union ensemble where musicians enjoy the benefits of a Local 802 contract.
