Notice to Members Who Qualify for the Death Benefit/Life Insurance

The office of the Recording Vice-President that administers the death benefit/life insurance very strongly recommends that you update your beneficiary information to make it current and in line with your wishes. Be advised that whoever is listed on the beneficiary form will receive the insurance, despite a change in relationships such as a new spouse, additional children, etc.
Local 802 is mandated by law to pay the beneficiary listed on the form that you sign, so it is important to check periodically to make sure that the person or persons listed are still the ones you wish as your beneficiary.
