Messages of Support
Volume CI, No. 11November, 2001
Over the last several weeks, Local 802 has received messages of support from other AFM locals and unions. Among those were the following:
Ray Hair, President,
AFM Local 72-147, Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
In behalf of the officers and members of AFM Local 72-147 in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, I want to express our support for Local 802 and its members in this very difficult time. I am presenting a check in the amount of $1,000 as a donation to the Local 802 Emergency Relief Fund, in the hope that it will in some small way help in this tragic situation. Local 802 has always been there for AFM members around the country. We want you to know that we are there for you in this time of need.
Horace Trubridge
Central London Branch, British Musicians Union
Dear Bill,
I am writing on behalf of the Central London Branch of the Musicians Union to express our deep concern and heartfelt sympathies to you and your fellow New Yorkers following the devastating terrorist attack on Tuesday, 11 September.
We are all deeply shocked by these terrible events and offer our unconditional support for our American colleagues. If we can be of any assistance whatsoever to you and your colleagues during these painful times then please contact me. In the mean time, kind regrets.
