MEET OUR NEW MEMBERS! Today, say hello to Jeremiah Downes, a pianist, composer, actor and vocalist who’s also a member of Actors’ Equity and several other unions.

“Unions are necessary for all — now more than ever,” Jeremiah tells us.

He adds, “Community, strength, opportunity in numbers: this and more is why I will always be a union member and support unions in this country!”

Jeremiah is a graduate of Uarts and OCU, and has over two decades of experience on stage and off. He’s also enjoyed a robust teaching career, primarily in higher education and private teaching.

As a composer, he’s been fortunate to experience singers from the worlds of Broadway and commercial music perform his tunes.

Jeremiah says that he’s grateful to be returning home to NYC and is looking forward to reestablishing old connections and making new ones while developing a strong presence in the city as a professional musician.
