At Local 802, musicians support their fellow artists. We’ve recently begun producing a monthly benefit concert called “Jazz in the Afternoon,” featuring top Local 802 talent, with all proceeds benefiting the Local 802 Musicians’ Emergency Relief Fund. Below, Jay Leonhart and Ron Wasserman & the New York Jazzharmonic perform at two recent shows. Photos by Andy Schwartz.
The next show is Thursday, June 30 at 5:30 p.m. with the Ed Palermo Big Band. (See calendar for details.) For more info, contact Bettina Covo at bcovo@local802afm.org or (212) 245-4802, ext. 152. To make a donation to the relief fund now, visit www.local802erf.org.
