Eugene (Gene) Martin Lonstein, beloved father and friend, passed away at the age of 89 on October 28, 2024, due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. He had been a member of Local 802 since 1952. Born in Brooklyn on July 30, 1936, Eugene was known for his passion for life — including his kindness, wit, wisdom and his love for his family and friends. He dedicated his life to both education and music, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. Eugene is survived by his ex-wife Anita, his daughter Stacy and his sons Brad and Jonathan. His son Marc predeceased him, leaving daughter-in-law Kelly. He will be deeply missed and remembered always.
