The 802 Health Benefits Plan has just implemented a new procedure for processing claims, in an effort to reduce delays that a number of members have experienced.

The HBP is asking members who qualify for Plan A or Plan B to notify all health care providers that claims should now be sent directly to the insurer, rather than to the HBP office at Local 802. The new procedure, which should eliminate a time-consuming step in certifying your claim as eligible for payment, took effect last month.

Providers should now send claims to: Musicians Local 802 Health Benefit Plan, c/o the Union Labor Life Insurance Company, 1100 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406. Their toll-free number is 1-877-800-2956.

This information should be given to both your MagnaCare and out-of-network providers – both to providers you are currently seeing, and those you may see in the future. Please notify each of your present providers as soon as possible. You may wish to copy the coupon below, and send it to them. Keep a copy with you, since it supersedes the information on your MagnaCare card.
