“The Firebird” was Stravinsky’s breakthrough piece in 1910. The American Ballet Theatre recently produced a performance of it, choreographed by the company’s artist in residence, Alexei Ratmansky, which received an outstanding review in the New York Times. On these pages, Allegro photographer Walter Karling captured a rehearsal at the DiMenna Center.
