Since 2001, the Jazz Foundation of America has produced an annual gala at the Apollo Theater called “A Great Night in Harlem.” This benefit concert is always one of the best nights of the year in New York City. It brings together all-time legends and up-and-coming  gems from the worlds of jazz, blues, rock and soul. The night benefits the foundation’s programs, which provide housing, health care, dignified work and financial assistance to our elder musicians in times of crisis.
